Armelda May (Millie) LaGo, age of 68, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 in Boise with her loving husband by her side comforting her the best he could. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Millie was born in Roseburg, Oregon on December 10, 1952 to William Augg and Lora Cox.

As a child, Millie moved often, where ever there was work for the family. Though some of her childhood was rough, she always said it taught her to be strong. When she was 16, she met her eternal mate, William E. (Bill) LaGo on a double date in Cinabar, Washington. With a short courtship, they married on January 2, 1970, and lived in Morton, Washington where Rayna May was born in 1971.

In 1974, Bill joined the Air Force, after basic training and tech school, they were stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base. Millie diligently accompanied her husband no matter where he was. After Millie had Rayna, it was a challenge for her to have more children. After many miscarriages, they were finally blessed with another daughter in 1982, Clista Irene. Following shortly after in 1983, a son, William Eugene. Two years after that, a second son, Anthony Joseph was added to the family. At this point, Millie was a busy mom, trying to keep her children in check. In 1991, Clista Louise and Mary Kay Haffner joined the family. These were nieces that needed a home and Millie opened hers to help care for them.

Over the years, Millie enjoyed crocheting doilies, reading, and collecting recipes. She also collected decorative frogs, pigs, and any other little item that could be considered a nick nack. She loved to find deals and always bought more than needed. Once her children were old enough, Millie began a career as a Librarian at the Mountain Home City Library. She enjoyed this job a lot and had a sincere love of “actual books”. Millie knew that the magic of books could take a person to far off places. She loved to read while she had her sight. She worked at the library for five years until health problems forced her to stop.

During the following decade Millie's health steadily declined. Bill, made sure he was there helping in all capacities, doing the best he could to provide as much comfort for her as possible.

Millie is survived by her husband, Bill and five children: Rayna Turner (Kennith) of Rigby, Idaho, Clista Cox (Eric Giczy) of Central Point, Oregon, William LaGo (Jan) of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Anthony LaGo (Alicia) of Idaho Falls, and Mary Haffner of Tipinook, Idaho. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Brianna, Kolby, Ashley, Abi Jo, Cambria, Donovan, Dalen, Sadie, Billy, Samuel, Michael, Benjamin, and Andria; as well as, a sister, Laura Greene of Yakima, Washington
