City votes to move forward with Farmer’s Market

Wednesday, June 3, 2020

The City of Mountain Home held a City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 26, at 6 p.m. During the short meeting the Council made decisions on the Fresh Friday Farmer’s Market, received an update on the Fiber Optic Project and spoke with representatives of Sequel about leasing additional land from the city.

City Treasurer Paula Szfranski informed the city that the staff at City Hall had heard the Council’s concerns about city employees working at the market. They were now suggesting that a market manager be chosen. That individual would be a self employed contractor, similar to the Golf Pro and would make money through vendor fees etc. The council were all in agreement that would be the best option moving forward.
