City officials meet to discuss plans to re-open the state

Wednesday, April 29, 2020

The Mountain Home City Council met on Friday, April 24, to discuss their thoughts on the Governor’s announcement the day before about the re-opening of the state when the Stay-at-Home Order ends on April 30th.

During the meeting Robert’s Rules were suspended and the Council were able to speak freely about their thoughts and concerns.

Councilman Mike McCain said he agreed with the Governor and didn’t see how they could do much different then the way that it is planned except during the third phase. He said that at that time if it appears things are tapering off and possibly allow bars and other larger venues to reopen at that time instead of during the fourth phase.
