Graduation ceremony was motivation

Wednesday, April 29, 2020

To whom this may concern,

Hello, I am Paola Garza, I am a senior at the Mountain Home High School. I'm not sure how much my voice has in this but, just like the other Seniors, I feel like I have a right to use it and speak up. After 12 years of schooling who would've ever thought it come to this. I am truly disappointed in our administration. I know they did everything they could to represent us, seniors, in a "unique" way as they have stated. That, in my opinion, is not unique. It's different but, it's definitely not something I would like to look back too. My heart is truly heartbroken by the news. I am a first-generation student; the first in my entire family to graduate high school and go on to college, this summer, to pursue dental which has always been a dream of mine since I was little. Graduation was something I always looked forward too and that was the cherry on top of what I needed to motivate me for the bigger things that await for me after high school. The thought of not having the people I love there definitely breaks me to my core. I know there can be something well thought out, and not something that was planned in a week.. please do anything for us to walk the stage even if it's postponed. I didn't join sports and clubs and stay up till 2 am studying for a test just for nothing to pay off in the end.

Sincerely, a high school senior who just wants her last moment of shine
