Elmore County Commissioners close Courthouse and County Offices

The Elmore County Board of Commissioners has determined that due to the COVID-19 Virus, it is in the public interest of Elmore County residents for the County Courthouse and County Offices to be closed to the general public, with a few exceptions, until further notice. County offices will be open and operating with a reduced staff, but will not open to the public, except by scheduled appointment on a case by case basis. Following is a list of closures specific to each department:

Assessor's Office, including DMV: closed to the public until further notice.

Board Meeting: Board meetings will be held at the regularly scheduled times, with public access to the audio and hearing participation by telephone. Agendas may be reduced to minimize meeting times and number of matters for business.

Clerk's Office, including recording services, elections and marriage licenses: closed to the public until further notice, but selected services may be conducted by appointment or on a case by case basis.

Coroner: The Coroner's Office will conduct operations as needed, but the business office will be closed to the public until further notice.

Courts: Will have restricted operations pursuant to the order from the Idaho Supreme Court.

Driver's License: Closed to the public until further notice.

Elmore Ambulance Services: Emergency services will be provided, but the business offices will be closed to the public until further notice.

Extension Office: Closed to the public until further notice.

Fairgrounds: Closed until further notice.

Indigent Services: closed to the public until further notice.

Landfill/Transfer Station: Will conduct operations as needed, but the business office will be closed to the public until further notice.

Land Use and Development Services: Closed to the public until further notice.

Planning and Zoning Commission: All scheduled regular meetings are cancelled until further notice.

Pest: Will conduct operations as needed, but the business office will be closed to the public until further notice.

Sheriff's Office: Law enforcement and jail services will be provided, but the business offices will be closed to the public until further notice.
