MHHS Student places 2nd at State poetry contest

Jaidyn Bruner, a Junior at Mountain Home High School, finished second in last weekend’s State Championship Poetry Out Loud Contest in Boise. As the State runner up, Bruner won $100 and a $200 award for Mountain Home High School to purchase poetry books/material for the school.

Kieran's Ellis of Kuna High School was the state winner for his recitation of For the Dogs Who Barked at Me on the Sidewalks in Connecticut by Hanif Abdurraqib, Son/daughter by Kai Conradi and Song: Go and catch a falling star by John Donne.
