Cross Country sends 3 to state

The Mountain Home High School Cross Country team will send three athletes to the State Competition in Pocatello on November 2nd at the Portneuf Wellness Complex.

During the District Competition last week the team ran their fastest race of the year with 13 out of the 21 runners setting Life Time Personal Records. Jacob Criddle ran a 16:00.5 setting a new school record, Derek Schultz improved his fastest time by 34.4 seconds with a time of 17:00 and Charlize Lawson just missed out on breaking the school record with a time of 19:43. All three will compete at the State Competition with the girls race beginning at 2 p.m. and the boys race starting at 3 p.m.

The high school will be holding a send off in front of the school at 10 a.m. on Friday Nov. 1.
