Charles Loren Arendts, 86. Living in Garden City formally of Mountain Home. Born in Manly, Iowa in 1933 to Atna and Obert has ascended to be with his heavenly father on October 18, 2019.

Chuck started working young in his life, casing eggs and butter then later delivering newspapers.

After graduation from high school, he attended Iowa State University for two years before entering the Army and spending time overseas in Japan and Formosa in the secret service. After four years in the service, he returned to college to get his degree in forestry. After 35 years of forestry service he retired, then worked several jobs around Mountain Home. He was dedicated and enjoyed being an elder at Faith Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife Evelyn and three children, Lyle, Debbie and Susan. Two grandsons, Ryan and Xavier, and two great grandsons, Ryker and Carson. Two brothers, David and Barbra, and Robert and Diane, and a sister in law Margie and their families. His parents and his brother Darrell proceeded to heaven.
