Hearing held in May case

Thursday, October 24, 2019

In court proceedings on Friday, Oct. 18, Stephen May appeared before Judge Fleming for a preliminary hearing, stemming from a case filed in Sept 2019. May is now facing two charges of Lewd Conduct with a Child Under 16 after the Elmore Prosecuting Attorney, represented by Mr. Page, dismissed a 3rd charge at the end of the proceedings, and one charge of Child Sexual Abuse of a Minor under 16 years of age. May who is out on bail was represented in court by his attorney, Mr. Ward. Also present in the courtroom were members of BACA (Bikers against Child Abuse) who were there in support of the minor child as part of the alleged victims support system.

During today's proceedings it was evident that criminal cases involving minor children are difficult for the court and all present. The Mountain Home News will not be reporting on the nature of, nor answers during these proceedings.
