Genevieve Marie Bollinger

Genevieve Marie Bollinger, age 91, of Mtn Home, passed away at a local care center on September 10, 2019.

Marie was born on October 7, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to Guy and Lura Hawkins McNeely. She was the 7th of 13 children. She married Eldon W. Bollinger on June 16, 1945. They were married for 52 years and had one son LG Bollinger.

As a child she spent much time away from her family in a children’s hospital and much of her adult life enduring many surgeries on her feet and legs. As a result, she became the strong and determined woman we all knew and loved. She was certainly not afraid to speak her mind, but she loved and was completely devoted to her family and friends.

She was a lifetime supporter of the Mountain Home Elks Lodge as an active member of the Mountain Home Elkettes.

Marie is survived by her son LG and his wife Linda; grandchildren Shannon Bollinger, Rachel Sanborn (Leon), Jason Bollinger(Christine), Guy Bollinger (Lisa), and RJ Bollinger (Jessica); seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; her sister Fern Tripp and brother Lewis McNeely. She was preceded in death by her husband Eldon, six brothers and four sisters.

A private family graveside service will be held at Mtn View Cemetery. The family wishes to invite all Marie’s friends to a gathering at the Elks Lodge, 2:00PM on Thursday, September 19, 2019.

Graveside Services were under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
