Reader has issue with Beer Festival article

Dear Editor,

In an article written by Jennifer Graham, DESERET NEWS, August 18, 2019, p. 3, she states "…medical research has shown there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption." On the other hand, some say drinking beer is healthy if used moderately. I guess it is up to each individual to decide. And there are laws determining "moderation" - at least while driving a vehicle.

Sober bars are popping up across the country. I believe, according to your newspaper, that one just opened in Mountain Home also -- the first "Sober Club" in Elmore County.

Three very lovely little girls from Mountain Home were just buried--killed by a drunk driver. The father of the girls was seriously injured. It just seems like a huge "oxymoron" to me that also in the paper there was an article rejoicing over the "Success of the Beer Fest."

I for one vote for the Sober Club and zero consumption of alcohol.
