Schultz arraigned on additional charges

On July 31, Donald Schultz appeared for a second arraignment before Judge David Epis for additional charges that were filed prior to his initial preliminary hearing that was scheduled for July 24, 2019. The amended complaint added five felony Grand Theft charges to the original seven charges which included the Murder II charge. All five charges were in reference to firearms, each identified by make and model. Schultz is facing a total of 12 felony charges.

Judge Epis also read the second part to the amendment of the Murder II charge which included "an extended sentence for the use of a firearm as a deadly weapon" would add 15 years to any sentence if found guilty. His next preliminary hearing is scheduled to start Aug. 13 and continue on Aug. 15.
