Community receives grants focused on promoting health

Desert Sage Health Centers (DSHC) is pleased to announce that the Idaho Women’s Charitable Foundation (IWCF) has invested over $100,000 into much-needed community programs. Each of these awards’ focus on increasing the overall health and viability of our community.

Hacker Middle School was awarded $60,000 to better serve the children in our community by purchasing playground climbing equipment as a tool to be integrated into the physical education curriculum, as well as a provide a free after-school activity for the community to improve its fitness.

While DSHC will be using the $59,642 award to create a transportation program for patients in need, furthermore, DSHC will purchase a wheelchair-accessible mini-van that will aid in facilitating transportation for life-saving medical treatments, visits, and specialist appointments.
