Commissioners discuss future of ambulance services

On Dec. 21, the Elmore County Commissioners met to discuss several different items on the agenda.

Sheriff Mike Hollinshead said he had spoken with Elmore County Code Enforcement and they will be going to Glenns Ferry rather than having a deputy or a civilian handle violations. This resolved the issue brought up at last week's meeting on who could enforce codes in Glenns Ferry where there hadn't been anyone to do it previously.

The Sheriff's Office is assigning a deputy to the east end schools. For the rest of this school year he will be getting familiar with the schools and once there is a class available to become a School Resource Officer he will become certified. There are currently three city officers that are SRO's in the MHSD. For the full story, pick up a copy of the Mountain Home News or click on this link to subscribe to the newspaper's online edition.
