Montepeque waives right to preliminary hearings

Abner Montepeque is currently being held in the Elmore County Jail on a $1 million bond for five counts of sexually exploitative material of a child and three counts of rape.

At a hearing on Nov. 13 Montepeque waived his rights to a hearing in both cases.

Montepeque’s case is currently scheduled for an arraignment on Dec. 17 at 9 a.m. with Judge Nancy Baskin presiding.
