Henry James Redford "Hank"

Henry James “Hank” Redford, 82, of Mountain Home, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 26, 2018. A gathering will be held at a later date. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Hank was born in Reno, Nevada and graduated from Sparks High School. Shortly after high school he joined the US Navy and serving in the CB’s.

Upon returning home he went to work for Sierra Pacific Power Co. at Lake Tahoe and also as an electrician. He became a deputy sheriff and a detective in Douglas County, Nevada.

Hank and the family moved to Mountain Home in the early 70’s and started Redford Electric. He later worked as an underground inspector through Idaho Power until his retirement. During his time inspecting Hank invented the Penta Buster tool and had it patented.

He loved to bowl, trap shoot and enjoyed the many friends he met. He was a member of the Masons and also proud member of the NRA.

Hank leaves behind his wife Gwen, son’s Brian and Tory, and his daughter Julie, cousin Bill Swayne and Ann, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Kylene.
