City Council approves Russell Griggs as Interim Chief of Police

Mountain Home City Council met on Aug. 13 and the council chambers were full, wall to wall, in anticipation of the swearing in of Russell Griggs as Interim Chief of Police.

Before the council approved Mayor Rich Syke's recommendation to appoint Griggs, audience members were given a chance to address the council. Chris Albright offered feedback on his thoughts about a city ordinance concerning service animals. Albright said he was told in a voicemail from a city employee he needed to provide medical documentation that his service animal is just that.
