The Mountain Home Museum celebrated International Museum Day on May 18th.

The objective of International Museum Day is to raise awarenes of the fact that, "Museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among peoples."

At the Mountain Home Museum patrons could enjoy refreshments while stepping back into the history of Mountain Home and getting to know the cultures that made Elmore County what it is today, including the French fur trappers, the Chinese, the Native American Tribes and the Basque who came to the county as sheepherders.

Children participated in a scavenger hunt which ended with the prize of a vial of gold when all objects were found.
