Robert Jackio Jr.

Robert Jackio, Jr., age 68 of Mountain Home, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 12, 2018, following an illness. Services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, with a viewing from 9:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service, and burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Robert was born on October 26, 1949, in Los Angeles, California to Robert and Irene (Holmes) Jackio, Sr.

Robert loved people no matter who they were. He went to Henry Longfellow Elementary, Markham Junior High and graduated from Jordan High, in Watts, California. He married Linda Cheryl Robertson in 1970 and two years later they had a son Robert Jackio, III.

Robert worked for the City of Long Beach for 8 years and then worked for Long Beach School District for 6 years before being injured. He then moved to Mountain Home, Idaho, where he worked at AJ’s alongside his brother Irving for 14 years. After injuring his back he retired in 2011.

His hobbies were cooking, playing dominos and listening to his music.

Robert is survived by his son Robert Jackio, III, step daughter Diane Graham, his brothers Irving Jackio, Charles Holmes and Henry Lee Jackio, his sister Mary LaVonne Jackio, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Denise Yvonne Jackio.
