Beware of cold water while boating

Fishing season is upon us, and the Idaho Department of Fish and Game has been working diligently to stock the local reservoir.

As of April 12, the Mountain Home Reservoir has been stocked with 3,551 rainbow trout.

Officials from the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation are urging all boaters and paddlers to wear life jackets while on the water. Air temperatures are forecasted to be in the 70s and 80s across the state later this week, but water temperatures are still very low.
