Tax exemptions and lawsuits part of Commissioners' discussions

Elmore County Commissioners met on April 20 to discuss issues concerning the county. During the morning session department heads presented commissioners with updates for each department.

Things are running smoothly in Juvenile, Misdemeanor Probation and Drug Court. 76 kids are currently on probation while 96 hours of community service has been completed in the last month.

Veterans Affairs Officer Traci Colton had a busy month visiting area assisted living facilities, veterans in long-term hospital care and conducting home visits. Her goal with these visits is to make sure veterans throughout the county are aware of benefits and services available to them.
