Horses hit on Old Highway 30

Wednesday, April 11, 2018

Early morning on April 11, three horses were hit on Old Highway 30, about a mile east of Medberry Rd.

Two horses were bay in color. One is a mare with four white socks and a star on its forehead, and the other horse is grey in color.

When deputies arrived on scene, two of the bay horses were deceased.

The grey horse was injured and was last seen running southwest through the desert. Deputies on scene did an area check but were unable to locate the horse.

There was a possible fourth horse hit (reported by a semi truck driver), but it was not seen by deputies.
