Idaho Army National Guard working on new expansion

Citizens throughout the county attended the scoping meeting on April 5 to address their concerns with the expansion project.

The U.S. Air Force isn't the only military influence in Elmore County.

Since 1953, the Idaho Army National Guard has made camp in Elmore County, promoting conservation, mission efficiency and combat readiness to all who train there. With military needs increasing, though, and training demands putting more of a strain on personnel, a greater volume of soldiers need to go through training at a quicker rate.
