William “Bill” Lawrence Mouser passed away October 11, 2017 peacefully at home with his wife Sherrie by his side.

Bill was born November 25, 1957 in Boise, to Larry and Jean Mouser. While spending short periods of time in Boise growing up, he primarily resided in Mountain Home.

In 1976 Bill was dared to ask out the quiet, shy girl in class, on December 2, 1979 he married that quiet girl, Sherrie. They resided in Mountain Home threw their 40 years together.

Bill held small odd jobs throughout high school. He joined his dad Larry at his auto shop Mousers Auto Repair after high school and kept it open till his last days.

On Saturday mornings you could spot Bill at railroad park finding his next great collectable. There wasn’t a barber shop collectable, bicycle, petal car or any other antique within 30 miles that Bill did not know about.

In the summer you could find him at the park on lunch, drinking his Diet Pepsi, smoking a menthol, and debating the wonder of the world with someone.

You could also find Bill at the shop after hours, with young and old, inspiring them to find their best self. He taught kids how to weld, how to paint, how to build a bike, fix a car, install a car radio, how to be the very best person that they could possibly be. He never turned a kid away and made everyone feel welcome and important. You could also go to their farm, feed a llama, chicken, donkey, or sheep and always feel at home on the farm.

Bill is survived by his wife Sherrie Mouser, mother Jean Mouser, sisters Shelly Adams, Kathy Carter, and Tami Mouser, nieces Jessica Sprain, Samantha McLean, Sarah Cadena, Makayla Newton and Leah and Grace Carter, nephews Trent Daugherty, Corey Sievers, Michael Law, and Rylann Mouser, and many great nieces and nephews, cousins, one uncle, friends and many people who adopted him as their uncle Bill.

He is preceded in death by his father Larry Mouser, brother Dennis Mouser, and uncles Elmer and Marion Mouser.

There will be no services, as he did not want a gathering of sadness. And in his words, do not be sad for me as death is the next great adventure.
