Juan Carlos Vazquez, 36, of Mountain Home, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at St. Alphonsus in Boise. A viewing will be held from 4:00 pm until the Rosary at 6:00 pm, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home, on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church and burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, in Mountain Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Juan was born in Coatepec Harinas, State of Mexico in Mexico, and moved to Mountain Home in the spring of 1991. He attended West Elementary, then junior high and high school. In high school he won the A3 State Championship in soccer his senior year.

He lived the majority of his life in Mountain Home.

He was actively involved in coaching soccer in the Mountain Home community. He coached all age groups in Parks and Rec and recently had been helping the youth teams. He very much loved soccer, but enjoyed playing all sports.

He was also a family man. Always top of the list in his priorities was spending time with his wife Carina and kids, Natalia and Alejandro. He also would always go out of his way to be with his parents, brothers and all his extended family.

He leaves a huge hole in everyone’s lives closest to him, but during his time of earth, he lived life with a smile and to the fullest. A true example of how to really live life and be happy.

Juan is survived by his wife Carina Juarez Vazquez, daughter Natalia Marie, son Alejandro, brothers Jose Luis Vazquez Ortiz and Marco Antonio Vazquez Ortiz, sisters Elizabeth Vazquez Ortiz and Nancy Juarez Vazquez, his mother Maria Elena Ortiz Flores, step dad Ricardo Martinez Avila, father Jose Luis Vazquez Diaz, father in-law Gustavo Juarez, mother in-law Maria Feliza Juarez, brother in-laws Miguel Juarez, Jesus Juarez, Jose Juarez, Ruben Juarez, Cesar Juarez, and Javier Acosta, sister in-law Selena Juarez, Jessica Juarez, Vitalina Vazquez, and Maria Vazquez, nephews Johnathon Sanchez, Jimena Vazquez, Adrian Juarez, Allison Juarez, Andres Juarez, Jose Ricardo Vazquez, Aurora Vazquez, Marco Liovani Vazquez, Carlos Felipe Vazquez.

He was preceded in death by cousin Elisabet Pedroza, aunt Dolores Ruiz and niece Aylin Ruiz, grandfather Melchar Ortiz and grandmother Consuelo Ortiz, aunt Margarita, grandfather Jose Maria Vazquez, and uncle Ezquiel Ortiz
