Helping people help others in need...

Monday, July 17, 2017

Lorin Ford, Exaulted Ruler of the Mountain Home Elks Lodge, is joined by Esteemed Leading Knight Tom Narramore and Trustee Terry Ratliff as they present a $1,000 check to representatives from the Mini's R Us animal therapy organization during a recent gathering at the lodge. The money presented to the local 4-H group will help 12 of its members become certified in animal therapy to help others in the Mountain Home area. These animals are known to offer therapeutic benefits to people of all ages, especially those with mobility and coordination challenges, individuals with severe vision problems and those suffering from depression anxiety or post-traumatic stress disorder. Funding for this training was possible by a grant presented on behalf of the Idaho Elks Rehab System.
