Children holding bags of candy ride on the Elmore County Optimist Agriculture float as they roll along the parade route in Mountain Home during Saturday's fair parade. Marking its second appearance over the weekend, the parade and a community talent show in Carl Miller Park aimed at encouraging people to attend this year's fair and rodeo in Glenns Ferry.

People from across Elmore County will enjoy a week of "Making Blue Ribbon Memories" during the county's annual fair and rodeo, which begins Sunday at the fairgrounds in Glenns Ferry.

The fair is all based around kids — to educate them on challenges and responsibilities of farm life, according to county fair manager Rena Kerfoot.

The family concept brings together parents, relatives and siblings as they watch these youngsters compete in hopes of coming home with a blue ribbon, she said.

The youngest of the performers, 10 year old Camie Dugan, won the $75 third prize for her performance of "How far I'll Go," from the Disney film "Moana" during Saturday's Elmore County's Got Talent show.
