'This is only an exercise...'

Wednesday, July 5, 2017
Officers Tom Mogolich and Ty Larsen storm the former Paul's Marker building as they respond to Thursday's active shooter exercise.

"Hands! Hands!"

Brandishing his sidearm, the police officer shouted the warning to any suspects lying in wait. With another officer joining him, they reported seeing at least one individual lying unconscious next to a vehicle in the parking lot.

"One man down!"

The officer reported the casualty to the dispatcher listening on the other end of the radio as additional police officers and sheriff's deputies raced to the scene.

"BANG! BANG! BANG!"

The sounds of simulated gunfire broke the silence as people inside the building started screaming in hysterics.

With the area secure and the shooters either captured or killed, paramedics pull the survivors from the building.
