Mountain Home couple wins St. Jude's dream home

Jason Jetley stands in front of the home he and his wife, Jane, won during a contest hosted by St. Jude's. Proceeds from the yearly event benefit helps fun research and treatment programs for children battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Call it a gut feeling or just an instinctive reaction, but Jane Jetley knew that luck was going to shine on her family once again. She walked through the 2,700 square foot home with her husband as they dreamed of the possibilities it had to offer knowing the odds were stacked against them.

Luck, it seems, had other plans.

It began at 9 p.m. June 18 when she received two phone calls; one from a friend in Mountain Home and the other from another friend in Boise. They shared with her the news that the Jetleys were now the owners of that newly built home, located in the small community of Star in western Idaho.

The house was the grand prize featured during the 12th Annual Boise St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. Each year, the children's research hospital holds these contests with the proceeds going toward supporting research and treatment programs for children battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
