Groups meet to launch downtown revitalization efforts

Local business owners, city and county officials and other citizens introduced a number of ideas on what to do with that building during the first in a series of meetings aimed at developing a master plan for the City of Mountain Home.

More than 60 business owners, city and county officials and volunteer citizens were invited to the first in a series of meetings to develop a master plan for the City of Mountain Home.

The city's economic development office hosted a stakeholder workshop June 13 and 14, where attendees paired up with a planner from Horrocks Engineers.

After a walking tour to identify downtown issues in need of addressing, groups were able to develop plans based on what they saw as the needs to boost the economic footprint of the downtown area.
