County commissioners begin annual budget process

Wednesday, June 14, 2017

Discussions on Elmore County's budget began this month as the board of commissioners started evaluating the county's spending plan for the coming fiscal year.

The commissioners will continue to hear budget requests from each of the county department heads over the next few weeks before final decisions are made in August.

The last to present a budget request that day was Sheriff Mike Hollinshead. The sheriff missed the initial deadline to turn in his budget plan and presented his requests verbally before submitting the official request.
