Edward Lambert, 82, of Mountain Home, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Aspen Rehab in Meridian, Idaho. No services will be held at Ed’s request. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Ed was born May 19, 1935, in Chicago, Ill., to Edward M. and Marie Babe (Sass). He grew up at Fort Collins, Colo., up Rist Canyon. At the age of 10, Ed acquired Polio and was told he would never walk again but was determined to prove them wrong.

Ed lived in Grass Valley, Calif., before moving to Idaho. He drove trucks for several years before going to work for the J.R. Simplot Company, where he worked for 38 years. During this time, Ed drove over 3.5 million miles.

Ed is survived by his wife of 39 years, Helen Lambert of Mountain Home; his son, Tim, and wife Becky Lambert and daughter Brenda and husband Ronnie Sanchez, all of Arizona; his step children, Sue and husband Alan Roberts, Jeff and wife Goisalde Jausoro of Mountain Home, and Lou and wife Denise Jausoro of Wall Walla, Wash.; 13 grandchildren, Michael, Joshua, Brandon, Sarah, Crystal, Candice, Justin, Shelby, Mariah, Kysa, Louie, Gabriella and Jenna; and four great grandchildren, Bryce and Tyson plus two more.

Ed is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Lambert; father, Edward Babe; step father, Charles Lambert; and his brother, Chuck Lambert.
