High school recognizes two students

Citing their academic accomplishments and involvement in various school activities, two students at High School were recently recognized through a program aimed at honoring students for these achievements.

Hunter Thornburg was selected as the school's student of the month for April while Kearstin King received the honor in May.

The recognition program seeks to create a culture of learning and stresses the values of academic success, civic involvement as well as personal character and values, according to school officials.
