Police address parking policy

With people in Mountain Home continuing to pull recreational vehicles, boats and outdoor trailers out of storage this month, city police officials remind these owners to follow the rules when parking these oversized vehicles on local streets.

According to city ordinance, people are prohibited from parking motor homes and recreation vehicles as well as utility and boat trailers on public streets for more than 72 hours.

The statute has similar restrictions that prohibits people from parking commercial vehicles, semi trailers, farm or construction equipment on streets, although there are exceptions in some cases.
