Local dance studio students honored

Students with the Methods of Movement Dance & Performing Arts studio pose with the awards they received during their competition season, which ended recently.

Students with the Methods of Movement Dance & Performing Arts studio in Mountain Home recently completed its yearly competition season by coming home with a number of awards.

Traveling to four different regional competitions, the company teams won a number of first-place honors while earning high scores along with several judges' choice awards for best costume and best technique.

Competitions the Mountain Home team made appearances were America On Stage, Aspire, Dance Fierce and Releve'. Methods of Movement dancers earned invitations to each of the competitions' national finals, generally held during the summer months.
