Marvin H. Nix, 95, of Mountain Home, passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital in Boise on Friday, April 21, 2017.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Marvin was born Dec. 18, 1921, to Louis and Mary Nix in Lono, Ark. World War II took him to Europe and was the beginning of a 29-year career in the U.S. Air Force.

After retiring from the Air Force, he worked in Real Estate in Tacoma, Wash., before moving to Mountain Home in pursuit of a quieter life.

Throughout his life, Marvin was a kind and devoted father and loving husband to Millie, the love of his life and wife of 65 years.

Marvin is survived by his daughter, Phyllis Gabelhause; his son, Wayne and his wife, Gabriela Nix; and his grandchildren, Steven and his wife Jenni Nix, Kerri and her husband, Adam Rensh, and Christine and her husband Tyler Teichmeier. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Millie; his grandson, Bobby Gabelhause; and his son-in-law, Robert Gabelhause.
