Alternative energy project's permit approved

Although the final outcome is months away, a conditional use permit to build an alternative energy complex in the vicinity of Anderson Ranch Reservoir took a step forward as the Elmore County board of commissioners addressed the issue during a pair of meetings over the past two weeks.

The commission reviewed and discussed the first draft of a conditional use permit submitted by Cat Creek Energy LLC, which includes provisions to satisfy both the county's and the public's concerns aired during previous hearings.
