Council approves badges, incentives for police force

New incentives for city police officers and the purchase of standardized badges for those in uniform highlighted a several issues addressed by the city council during a meeting Jan. 9.

Proposed changes to the salary incentive plan at the city police department would effect officers new to the profession, as well as those with Police Officer Standards and Training, or POST, certification and out-of-state officers looking to transfer to Mountain Home.
