Lending a helping hand

Josiah Gliddon stirs of a batch of homemade chili as he prepares to serve pedestrians as they passed by a booth set up in the parking lot of the former Paul's Market on Friday. Unable to work after being sidelined due to a chronic medical condition, Gliddon set up the free chili and corn bread feed as a way to help others in the Mountain Home community, with a focus on those who struggle to make ends meet. Free meals like this should be a regular event in this town, especially during the winter, he said.
