Quilting program begins Jan. 24

A free "quilting from the beginning" program runs from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 24 at the Western Elmore County Recreation District office. The class is geared for beginning quilters and focuses on using tools, accurate measurements, patterns and sewing skills as participants work on a basic project.

Classes will continue the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month through April 25. Participants will need to being a sewing machine and basic sewing tools to the first class. To sign up, call 587-8311.
