Pen Bidwell

Pen Allen Bidwell, 80 of Mountain Home, Idaho, passed away Nov. 23, 2016, at home with his girls by his side following a long battle against cancer. Pen had served in the U.S. Air Force and had retired after years of service.

He leaves behind his daughter, Star L. Bidwell of Mountain Home, along with his pets, Bella Lab, Scooby Collie and Stubby Cat -- she refused to get off his lap -- along with Lucy Pittie and Sally Cat.

His wife, Beverly J. Bidwell, passed three years ago. Pen was cremated at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. His burial will be held at a later date in Tacoma, Wash., where he will rejoin his wife.

Pen, Beverly and their daughter, Star, loved going on cruises in November and December to warmer weather and beaches. Pen used to say he was outnumbered by all the females at home -- his wife and daughter and all their female pets.

He liked being the only male "boss" at home. He'll be sadly missed by "his girls."
