Dedicated to community's veterans

Cemetery sexton Larry Cronin and his crew are joined by Mayor Rich Sykes and representatives from the American Legion, the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks and local business owners as they dedicate the new veterans memorial area at Mountain View Cemetery during a gathering last week. The project remodeled the cemetery's existing memorial grounds to include a permanent shelter that includes poems and information regarding the sacrifices made by the nation's military veterans. Contributions from local civic groups and businesses allowed the cemetery staff to start work on the project in recent weeks and was completed in time for this year's Veterans Day observance.
