Helping those in need

Carrie Darkes, a member of the chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, sorts through an assortment of children's winter jackets as the local teachers' sorority prepares for a clothing drive on Saturday. Sorority members distributed 125 coats, 153 sweatshirts, 70 gloves, 82 hats, five scarves, five pairs of shoes and two pairs of snow pants to children and adults in need as southern Idaho prepares for the winter season. Darkes is a first grade teacher at West Elementary School.
