Police benefit scheduled

Friday, November 18, 2016

Two local benefits are scheduled for Saturday for the two Boise police officers that were wounded in the line of duty last week.

The Brie'sta Coffee Company on American Legion Boulevard will donate all of its proceeds from sales on that date to the Fraternal Order of Police Treasure Valley Lodge, which set up a fund for the officers after they were shot during a search for a fugitive on Friday.

The Mountain Home Police Department will have two police vehicles parked at the coffee shop from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. that day. People in the Mountain Home community may also make donations in lieu of making purchases.

In addition, Cheeky's Botique and Salon at 105 N. 2nd E. will be donating all of its proceeds from Saturday sales to the police fund.

Officials with the city police department requested the community's support by keeping the injured officers in their thoughts and prayers.
