Bowling for scholarships

A dozen children and teens from the Mountain Home area came together in hopes of winning a portion of the $850 in scholarship money offered to the top four finalists during the U.S. Bowling Congress-sponsored tournament. (Below) This year's top finalists pose with their certificates following this year's competition. From left, first- place honors went to Matthew Smith with Lindsey Liercke finishing second. Bamber, who represented one of the youngest participants at the event, finished third with Logan Bowman placing fourth.
