A gathering of artists

Lance Wells sings "It May Be Time" during a yearly gathering of local writers and artists on Friday. Dozens of people met at Our Lady of Good Counsel's fellowship hall to show their support for local artists at the Mountain Home Arts Council's annual Fall Coffee House.

Photographer Chris Trouten adjusts one of the photos he had on display during the evening. A photo he shot featuring a group of whistle pigs is featured on the cover of this year's literary journal, which is now in its eighth volume.
Rebecca Moore reads an excerpt from her short story, "Noodles," which highlighted one of her childhood memories. The story was featured in Elmore County's literary journal, "The Whistle Pig." Each year, the journal features an eclectic collection of short stories, poems and hand-drawn art produced exclusively by artists in the local area.
