Community leaders participate in state-wide mayor run

Principal Ryan Kuntz agreed to have his head shaved if the students covered a set distance during the walking challenge. In total, the students covered more than 834 miles that day.

Students from Mountain Home's three elementary schools joined forces with community leaders during a effort on Thursday that seeks to promote personal wellness across southern Idaho.

The three schools in Mountain Home were among 80 in the state participating in the Mayor's School Walking Challenge -- a fun-filled activity focused on helping kids make healthy choices.
