Charles Cruz

Charles Barcinas Cruz was called to rest on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016 at the age of 54 at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise.

Charles is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Maria S.N. Barcinas and Antonio T. Barcinas; paternal grandparents, Soledad G. Cruz and Manuel L.G. Cruz; and mother, Rita B. Cruz.

Charles is survived by his wife of 25 years, NormaJean C. Pangelinan-Cruz; two sons, Nicolas Charles P. Cruz and Daniel Edward P. Cruz; father, Charles G. Cruz; and brother, Andrew B. Cruz.

Charles was born in Guam on Aug. 12, 1962. He graduated from George Washington High School in 1980 and from the U.S. Navy Public Works Center Apprentice Program in 1994.

In April 2000, Charles moved to Mountain Home, where he worked in the Utility Shop for the 366th Civil Engineering Squadron.

Charles was a devout Catholic. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel for nearly 16 years and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

The viewing will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 342 East Jackson St. in Mountain Home on Oct. 26, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. Prayers will be offered during the final Rosary at 10 a.m. and Mass at 11 a.m.

Immediately following, the funeral service will be held at the Mountain View Cemetery, 725 North 18th East St. The service will be officiated by Father Mark Uhlenkott. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.
