MHJHS team celebrates 5-1 season

The Tigers of Mountain Home Junior High School finished their season with a 5-1 record after they posted an 18-7 win over Emmett on Oct. 11.

"The kids are very excited about how this season went," said assistant coach Eric Abrego.

Their winning ways began during their season opener Sept. 6 as they pummeled Jefferson, 26-6. They returned home Sept. 13 were they shut out Syringa, 24-0.

The junior high Tigers posted another decisive win Sept. 20 as they crushed Sage Valley, 40-6. Their only loss came at Middleton on Sept. 27 as they trailed the Vikings, 14-28.

Mountain Home rebounded on the road as they beat Vallivue, 29-12, on Oct. 4 before they faced Emmett at home for their regular season finale.

Under the guidance of head coach James Bailey, those playing for the junior high Tigers were Jaden Abrego, Landen Bailey, Ryan Beard, Brandon Binkley, Coy Braithwaite, Luis Castillo, Isaiah Conlan, Michael Cynova, Christian Estrella, Jahzair George, Brett Ghowey, Sam Grayson, Cody Green, Easton Haldeman, Jackson Hale, Fredy Hernandez, Albert Hofer, Hunter Jammerman, Max Juarez, Billy Kiel, Cody Kollat, Stephen McCown, Kyndal Mitchell, Colton Music, Malachi Myall, Kohl Proffit, Marcus Robinson, Adrean Saucedo, Johnakin Thomas, Cody Vaughn, Jaden Worick and John Ybarra.

The junior high school team's assistant coaches were Abrego and Tony Micelli along with team manager Tim Hall.
