Olga Gerarda Pedersen, age 81 of Mountain Home, passed away on Oct. 12, 2016, at Poplar Grove Assisted Living in Glenns Ferry. Olga was born in Java, Indonesia, on Nov. 6, 1934, as Olga G. de la Fosse to David Emanuel de la Fosse and Jeane Gerarda Ernestine. They later moved to Holland.

Olga was the oldest of three children. Her sister, Mickey Ernestine, passed away four years ago. Her brother, Dave de la Fosse, still lives in Holland.

She raised two children, Roland van Loon of Santa Fe, N.M., and Kehaulani Delafosse of Mountain Home.

Olga later moved to Hawaii where she won many prizes for her artwork, mainly oil painting. She also made jewelry and sold it. She was well known for her knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and ceramics.

She met and married Gary D. Pedersen in Biloxi, Miss. Later, he was stationed at Alamagordo, N.M., and then they moved to Mountain Home Air Force Base in 1991. They later divorced.

Olga is survived by her brother, Dave, her children, Roland and Kehaulani, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church as part of Sunday worship on Oct. 16, 2016, at 10 a.m. A potluck dinner will follow the service about 12:15 p.m. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery on Monday.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
